Timaya releases new music video – ‘Woyo’

Renowned songwriter, and entertainer, Inetimi Odon, popularly known as “Timaya’’ has officially released a new music video titled ‘Woyo’. The song was produced by Orbeat, and the video was shot and directed by Unlimited LA. Woyo was of the dancehall genre, written and performed by Timaya. The colourful two minutes and 50 seconds video showed the self-acclaimed ‘Egberipapa1’ of Bayelsa, dancing with a walking stick and other ladies. Timaya who was born on Aug.15 1980 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, is the founder of the defunct the South-South hip hop group “Dem Mama Soldiers’’. His solo career began in 2005 with the release of “Dem Mama’’, which also appeared on his debut album, `True Story’ released the following year. In 2008 he released his second album`Gift and Grace’ which won him two awards in same year “Album of the Year’’ at Nigeria Music Awards and “Best Reggae/Dancehall album’’ at the Headies Award. Obama plans to attack Trump more forcefully

It took former President Barack Obama 10 days after leaving the White House before he spoke out against President Donald Trump’s order to temporarily ban people from seven predominately Muslim countries. The statement was from a spokesman, and it did not attack Trump directly. Rather it appealed to protesters. “President Obama is heartened by the level of engagement taking place in communities around the country,” Kevin Lewis, a spokesman for the former president, said in a statement. “Citizens exercising their constitutional right to assemble, organize and have their voices heard by their elected officials is exactly what we expect to see when American values are at stake.” Obama and his team are not ruling out a forceful challenge to Trump in the coming months, Politico, citing people in contact with the former president, reported. Rita Dominic’s “The Guest” premieres in cinemas

The much awaited movie “The Guest” produced by a renowned thespian, Rita Dominic is set for it first showing in cinemas across the country on Feb. 3. This was made known by the actress on her tweeter handle @ritaUdominic on Wednesday. She tweeted, “The Guest opens in cinemas on Friday. Warren Buffett: I bought $12 billion of stock after Trump won

The failure of Warren Buffett’s favored candidate to capture the White House has not dimmed the billionaire’s appetite for stocks. Buffett revealed that he has bought 12 billion dollars of stock for his company Berkshire Hathaway Inc (BRKa.N) since the Republican Donald Trump beat Democrat Hillary Clinton in the Nov. 8 US presidential election. In an interview with talk show host Charlie Rose that aired on Friday night, Buffett suggested that Berkshire’s post-election stock purchases overall were even higher, reflecting stocks that his deputies Todd Combs and Ted Weschler bought. “We’ve, net, bought 12 billion dollars of common stocks since the election,” Buffett said. “The guys that work with me, the two fellows, they probably bought a little bit or sold a little bit too.” The speed with which Berkshire is buying stocks is unusual. Police arrest 4 for raping 11-year old

The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of four suspects who raped an 11-year old secondary school student last Saturday around NNPC, Apata, Ibadan, capital of Oyo State. Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Adekunle Ajisebutu who did not disclosed the names of the suspects, said that investigation was ongoing in the matter. He said the suspects would be charged to court if found guilty. Ajisebutu also confirmed that the case had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID for thorough investigation. “The case was reported by the mother of the victim. Kwara Assembly summons SSG, IRS chairman

Kwara House of Assembly on Tuesday summoned Secretary to the State Government (SSG), and Chairman, Kwara State lnternal Revenue Service (KWIRS) over observed irregularities in the recent military and paramilitary recruitments. The SSG, Alhaji Isiaka Gold and KWIRS Chairman, Dr Muritala Awodun, are expected to address the issue surrounding alleged short-changing of the state’s indigenes in the recruitment before the legislators. The invitation of the government officials was sequel to the report of the investigation of the assembly’s Committee on Judiciary on the issue. Imo AG warns judicial officers against corruption

The Imo Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Miletus Nlemedim, has warned judicial officers in the state against corrupt practices, including undue delay in trying accused. Nlemedim, who gave the warning while addressing journalists in Owerri on Tuesday, said the present administration in the state was making efforts to ensure quick dispensation of justice, especially in the customary courts.
