Griezmann fires Atletico to Champions League final

Antoine Griezmann draws Atletico level Atletico Madrid reached their second Champions League final in three years by edging past Bayern Munich on away goals in a pulsating semi-final. Trailing 1-0 from the first leg in Spain, Bayern levelled the tie through Xabi Alonso’s deflected free-kick. EFCC arraigns Oyoma for $9,200 internet fraud

Internet fraudster, Ighofose Oyoma The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, today, May 3, 2016, arraigned one Ighofose Oyoma before Justice E. A. Obile of the Federal High Court sitting in Warri, Delta State on a seven-count charge bordering on Conspiracy, Forgery and Obtaining Money by False Pretence to the tune of Nine Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($9,200). Ighofose was arrested sometime in May, 2015 in Calabar, Cross River state following intelligence report on his involvement in internet scams. During investigation different scam mails which he used in defrauding his victims, mostly foreign women by presenting himself as Mike Anderson, an American businessman, were recovered. A witness in the ongoing trial former Kaduna State Pension Bureau consultant, Ibrahim Mohammed Sodangi, today presented startling evidence on how the consultant smuggled his name into the pension payroll and started drawing benefits like a bona fide pensioner. Michael Wetkas, an operative of the EFCC, while being led in evidence by prosecution counsel Sylvanus Tahir, told the court that, in the course of investigation into the matter, analysis of the account opening package and statements of account furnished the Commission by Keystone Bank and First City Monument Bank revealed that Sodangi used his accounts to receive funds under the guise of being a pensioner of the Kaduna State government. Buhari orders clampdown on killer herdsmen

President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered security agents in the country to clampdown on herdsmen attacking communities around the country. Baby girl rescued 3 days after building collapsed

The rescued Kenyan baby being attended to by health officials The Kenya Red Cross said rescuers pulled out a one-year old girl from the rubble of a building on Tuesday morning in Nairobi, more than 72 hours after it collapsed following heavy rain. Red Cross spokeswoman, Arnolda Shiundu, said the rescued baby was severely dehydrated. She said the baby was receiving medical attention at Kenyatta National Hospital. 2 smugglers arrested for fuel diversion

The two suspects identified as Aminu Sanni, 30, and Aminu Muhammed, 37, were caught along Igbogila- Igua road attempting to smuggle 33,000 litres of premium motor spirit (PMS) to Nigeria’s neighbour, Republic of Benin. Diezani Alison-Madueke, former Petroleum Minister The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has hinted that former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke will face trial over the $115million (N23.29bn) bribe paid the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) across the 36 states ahead of the 2015 general elections. After investigation, EFCC operatives believe the $115m doled out by Diezani and her associates through Fidelity Bank came from proceeds of stolen crude oil.
