Timaya releases new music video – ‘Woyo’

Renowned songwriter, and entertainer, Inetimi Odon, popularly known as “Timaya’’ has officially released a new music video titled ‘Woyo’. The song was produced by Orbeat, and the video was shot and directed by Unlimited LA. Woyo was of the dancehall genre, written and performed by Timaya. The colourful two minutes and 50 seconds video showed the self-acclaimed ‘Egberipapa1’ of Bayelsa, dancing with a walking stick and other ladies. Timaya who was born on Aug.15 1980 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, is the founder of the defunct the South-South hip hop group “Dem Mama Soldiers’’. His solo career began in 2005 with the release of “Dem Mama’’, which also appeared on his debut album, `True Story’ released the following year. Rita Dominic’s “The Guest” premieres in cinemas

The much awaited movie “The Guest” produced by a renowned thespian, Rita Dominic is set for it first showing in cinemas across the country on Feb. 3. This was made known by the actress on her tweeter handle @ritaUdominic on Wednesday. She tweeted, “The Guest opens in cinemas on Friday. FG probes Big Brother Nigeria controversy

Big Brother Naija (BBN) The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has directed the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to investigate the circumstances surrounding the reported shooting in South Africa of the ongoing Big Brother Nigeria Reality Show. In a statement in Abuja on Tuesday, the Minister said the NBC should determine whether Multi-Choice, by shooting the show in South Africa, has breached the Nigerian Broadcasting Code in any way, as well as the issue of possible deceit, since the viewing public was never told that the event would be staged outside Nigeria. ”As a country of laws, only the outcome of the investigation will determine our next line of action,” he said. Top Belgian model, Hanne Gaby Odiele A top fashion model has revealed that she is intersex, saying that she hopes speaking out will help break a taboo. Hanne Gaby Odiele, 29, was born with undescended testicles, which were removed when she was 10 after doctors warned that they could cause cancer. Intersex people are born with a mixture of male and female sex characteristics. According to the United Nations, the condition affects up to 1.7% of the world’s population. Big Brother Naija re-launched with 12 contestants

The reality TV series Big Brother Nigeria, was on Sunday re-launched as “Big Brother Naija” with 12 contestants also known as “housemates”, after 10 years of holding its first edition. Award-winning Nigerian singers Yemi Alade, Flavour and ‘K9’ performed live during the launch. The host of the show, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, a former housemate who introduced the housemates said he remains one of the biggest supporter of the show. “Ten years ago I was a housemate, today I am one of their biggest supporters,” Obi-Uchendu said.
