Warri Wolves shocked at home by Rivers United

Warri Wolves: shocked by Rivers United Warri Wolves Football Club on Sunday suffered a 1-0 defeat to visiting Rivers United FC at the Warri Township Stadium, in a 2015/2016 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) fixture. Ovoke Bernard scored the lone goal for the visitors in the 52nd minute of the game. Warri Wolves dominated in the first half and created a lot of goal scoring chances which went unconverted. While soaking the pressure, the visitors relied on counter-attacks which were also thwarted by Warri Wolves’ goalkeeper Dele Ajiboye. At the resumption of the second, Rivers United changed their pattern of play to pile pressure and torment the Warri Wolves defence. 4 confirmed killed in derailed Lagos-Kano train

Nigerian passenger train The Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) said on Sunday that four people died in the train accident that occurred in Jebba on Saturday. The Assistant Director in charge of Publicity in the corporation, Mr Rauf Akinloye, told newsmen that three other passengers sustained injuries in the accident involving the Lagos-Kano train. He said the corpses of the deceased were deposited at the mortuary while those injured were discharged after receiving treatment. The NRC spokesman said the damaged tracks were being repaired in order to restore North-South services. He said the rear portion of the train that derailed lead to the death of the four persons. Akinloye, however, assured travellers of safety of life and properties while travelling on the trains in spite of the incident. Already, Gov.
