A rocket-propelled grenade was on Sunday launched on a civilian minibus in southern Somalia, killing six people, a family member of one of the victims according to a local report, said.
The attack occurred near Qoryooley in Lower Shebelle region late Saturday.
Most of the victims were farmers, said Qalid Ahmed, a family member of one of them.
The area is under the control of Somali and African Union troops, but al-Shabaab Islamist militants’ stage attacks there.
Officials declined to comment on the attack and on who might have carried it out.
