Falcons beat Cameroon to win African Womens Nations Cup

The Nigerian Super Falcons have won the 2016 African Womens Nation Cup after defeating Cameroon 1-0 in Yaounde.

Desire Oparanozie scored the only goal of the match in the 84th minute to give Nigeria their 8th win of the African Women Nation Cup.

The Falcons held on to win the match despite Cameroon’s upsurge in the later part of the game.

The game ended Cameroonian’s ambition of winning the nation cup after it lost to Nigeria in the final two years ago.

The Indomitable Lionesses’ best chances of winning the womens nation cup was this year as they were the host, but they lost to Nigeria again after it lost 2-0 two years ago, and were also beaten by Nigeria in their other appearances in the final in 2004.

Court grants Fani-Kayode N50m bail

Fani-kayode sandwiched by EFCC officials Justice James Tsoho of the Federal High Court Abuja on Thursday granted a N50m bail to former spokesman of the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode. Fire: UniJos Senate convenes emergency meeting on Monday

Fire at the University of Jos Library University of Jos is to convene an emergency senate meeting on Monday to review the level of damage done to the institution by the Saturday night inferno.
