Masari unveils new coaches for Katsina United FC

Gov. Aminu Masari of Katsina State on Friday formally introduced the coaches for Katsina United Football club which has been promoted to the Nigerian Premier League.

At the ceremony, Mr Bala Nikyu was named the Chief Coach while Mr Baldwin Bazuaye is to serve as the Assistant Chief Coach.

Masari said that the coaches were selected on merit, adding that their experience should be put to play for the success of the club in the premier league.

He gave the assurance that the state government would support the club in order to elevate it to levels of the top teams in the league.

“The government is going to support Katsina United FC financially and other wise to ensure its success. I also want to call on individual philanthropists to provide financial support to the club,” he said.

Gov. Masari commended the management of the team for making it possible for the team to reach the highest level of football game in the country.

In his remarks, Nikyu pledged to make the team victorious in all its competitions.

Fire at the University of Jos Library University of Jos is to convene an emergency senate meeting on Monday to review the level of damage done to the institution by the Saturday night inferno.
