The Lagos State University (LASU) has assured its staff that all issues relating to its workers’ promotion and welfare would be resolved at its Governing Council statutory meeting of Nov. 15.
The university’s latest official bulletin stated that staff promotion and welfare were of utmost importance to the management.
“The University Governing Council at its 112th statutory meeting on Oct. 20, 2016, had considered and approved some of the matters brought before it.
“Due to time constraints, the council could not consider some other issues brought before it, especially, staff promotions, because there was need to give additional information on candidates recommended for promotion.
“The Governing Council, therefore, deferred the consideration of these cases to its expedient meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 15.
“The meeting is intended solely to clear all promotion and welfare related outstanding issues before the Governing Council,” the bulletin stated.
