A former Vice Chancellor of Usmanu Danfodiyo University in Sokoto, Prof. Adamu Ngaski, is dead.
The renowned Professor Emeritus of History died on Tuesday at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto, at the age of 77.
The remains of the late Ngaski were buried in Sokoto on the same day according to Islamic rites.
The deceased served as a lecturer at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and was Vice Chancellor at UDU Sokoto between 1982 and 1989.
The late Ngaski was also a presidential aspirant under the defunct National Republican Convention (NRC) as well as the Vice Chancellor, Islamic University of Uganda from 1994 to 2004.
In retirement, the deceased served as Council Chairman of Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State.
The late Ngaski is survived by one wife, 19 children and many grandchildren.
