untitled-2

Itohanosa Oronsaye with the stage name Crucificxo, a Nigerian born artiste who grew up amongst four other siblings is well known for his charming innocent look, smooth voice and low-key composure. He discovered his lyrical talent in his secondary school days.

At the time, he passed through a phase where communication between himself and the people around him became continually strenuous. He started writing poetry and with the support of his siblings, cousins as well as close friends, he felt the courage to go further.  He eventually found music as his way of venting his emotions and expressing himself. “I would write poetry and they would say “why don’t you rap?” he said. However, rapping was already something he had an interest in even though he only did it behind closed doors at the time.  Being a young man with multiple talents, as well as having a keen interest in music, he appreciates all other forms of Art such as acting, dancing and painting. He also has a lot of interest in flying planes, the military and sports.

Following his graduation at the American University of Nigeria, he furthered his education in the field of Environment Science by pursing a Masters. He will be graduating from Birmingham City University as an MSc. holder in Environmental Sustainability.

Crucificxo’s greatest inspiration comes from Tupac Shakur. His style of music has also been largely influenced by artists like Nas, Talib Kweli, Eminem, Kanye West, Bob Marley, Fela Kuti and Ritchie Valens. At his own personal time, his main focus is on his music. He finds it fun and relaxing when he is creating a new piece of writing or engaged in any form of activity that involves learning something new. He loves making new music and meeting new people.

Currently Crucificxo is being managed by Myth Inc. He had just released his first official single titled Coke Bottle produced by Unk Merlin, mixed and mastered by Janis Krauklis. Coke Bottle is part of his recently completed Extended-Play titled Monochrome the EP and with the support of his management will be released next year.
