The British government is considering whether to invite President-elect Donald Trump to the UK for a state visit in 2017, a Downing Street spokesperson said.
According to CNN “An invitation for a state visit is one of the things that is under consideration following the election of a new US president,” a spokeswoman for British Prime Minister Theresa May told reporters. State visits typically involve a meeting with the Queen.
“One of the issues under consideration is the 2017 state visits.”
