Mr Ude Ikeotuonye, an Abuja-based Architect says he is optimistic the U. S., system of government will keep the President-elect, Donald Trump in check.
Ikeotuonye said in Abuja on Thursday that he had mixed feelings about the antics that Trump would bring to the oval office.
According to him, however, there are mixed feelings for me about the antics that Trump may want to bring to office, but I am comforted by the fact that the American system is strong enough to keep him in check.
Against all odds and expectations, Trump emerged as the 45th President-elect of the U.S.
“In a few months, he will occupy the most coveted seat in the world, the office of the President of the most powerful nation in the world.
“His victory is predicated on two things, first is the fact that he is not part of the establishment that core politicians represent.
“An establishment that people all over the world are tired of; they are willing to try ideas of people coming from outside established political structures.
“Secondly, his message to the people is essentially to protect and secure America and make it great again.
It is a new world order that’s playing out,” noted Iketuonye.
