Rachel Bakam Bags Another Award

Multiple Award winning Television personality, Media Practitioner, PR Consultant, Producer, Presenter,  Director, Writer, Actress, Peace and Tourism Ambassador, Founder and President of the Nigerian Water Ski and Wakeboard Federation; Amb. Rachel Bakam aka Rachel the PIPER has been honoured with the Nigerian Dream Personality Honours for her contribution to the Development of Nigeria by Cabinet X, the champions of the Historical Nigerian Rebirth Project.

She has partnered and supported Devatop for a while now in the fight against human trafficking and their fierce role in empowering women. This week, to applaud her efforts, Devatop, chaired by Amb. Joseph Chidebere has taken it upon themselves to set up a Wikipedia page for her, stressing that the page will be up this week.

Last week, she was honoured by the UNITED NATION’S WORLD HABITAT for EXCELLENCE IN THE HUMANITARIAN SECT. They applauded her contributions, bringing on stage the Bajju IDP Lady who she sponsored through the UN WORLD HABIBAT BEAUTY PAGEANT meant to produce ladies who will work relentlessly in changing the dire livelihood of Nigerians on the lower ladder.

There is no stopping this ingenious lady as her company, Rayzeds Media Limited links up hands with Gurara Movies to co-produce a blockbuster titled ‘SIM’. A film which will unveil the beauty of the Southern Kaduna women. Their lovely potentials and values. Gurara Movies approached Rachel requesting that she plays the lead role in SIM but she inspired them so much that they requested she also becomes co-producer.  She accepted because she shares a similar vision and passion.

She reacted this way on instagram: ‘GURARA MOVIES is a MOVEMENT!!! To present through film, the face of the Southern Kaduna People and the other tribes in the Northern part of Nigeria aside from Hausa, Fulani and related tribes who already have a thriving film niche with Kannywood. Today, we inspired a number of Kaduna youths on how to build their careers. I spoke on life as a media practitioner/personality; sharing how I built my career. While warming up to play the main character in SIM, a blockbuster film meant to showcase the average beautiful Southern Kaduna Lady, we are excited!!!’  Relentless in her stand for Girl and women rights,’ she posted this on all her social media pages, adding that “yesterday was International day of the Girl Child. Let’s prioritise giving our girl child more confidence in the society. Impact positive values in them from childhood so they don’t grow up feeling they have to strip naked or almost naked in music videos.” She added.
