LG Chairman donates uniforms to 300 pupils

The Chairman of Bodinga Local Government in Sokoto State, Alhaji Abdullahi Tsara, on Sunday donated uniforms to three hundred Primary School pupils in Gidan-Tsara community in the Council area.

Tsara said at the event that the donation was his personal contribution to boost education in the area.

According to him, the uniforms will go a long way in augmenting the efforts of their parents and encourage the pupils.

” Similarly, the gesture will encourage more parents to enrol their children in schools.

”This is absolutely imperative, as there is the need to shore up the enrolment, retention and completion of the pupils,” he said.

Tsara further promised to replicate the gesture across the eleven wards of the local government area.

He also welcomed the declaration of the ‘state of emergency on the education sector’ by the state government.

He promised that his administration would continue to accord top priority to education as it is the elixir for national development.

A cross section of the pupils and their parents interviewed commended the chairman for the gesture.
