Serena Williams made light work of her last 16 clash with Yaroslava Shvedova – taking just 68 minutes to ease into the quarter-finals at the US Open in New York.
The world No 1 defeated the Russian-born Kazakhstani 6-2, 6-3 to see her surpass Roger Federer’s tally of 307 singles wins on tour.
The American legend will face Simona Halep in the quarter-finals after her earlier 6-2, 7-5 victory over Carla Suarez.
