It is not every day actors in the Yoruba sphere of Nollywood get to
feature in the out and out English speaking Nollywood movies. Yoruba
leading actor Odunlade Adekola stars in this new movie from Tinsel Star
Funmi Holder titled The Grudge alongside Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) an
actor of repute.

The Abeokuta-born Odunlade Adekola who started acting in 1996 is
unarguably the biggest actor in the Yoruba sphere of Nollywood as he is
the actor with the most appearances in Yoruba movies and has the highest
following across different social media platforms.

His face literary sells movies and he is the darling of several film
marketers in Idumota and Aba in the South-west and South-east regions of
Nigeria respectively. He has won the popular City People Entertainment
Awards Best Actor of the Year four times (2009, 2011, 2014 & 2015). In
April 2014, he won the Africa Movie Academy Award, having emerged as best
actor of the year.

For RMD, he is a man who has gone full circle. The highly revered actor
commands respect anywhere he goes. He is indeed a man of many parts; an
Actor, Lawyer, former Commissioner and above all, a family man.

RMD started acting in the 80s after leaving the university and acted in
the popular TV series Ripples. He even made more headlines when he starred
in another TV series Checkmate playing the role of Segun Kadiri. He has
gone on to star in more than 47 movies. He also headlines the popular TV
sitcom now showing on cable TV titled Hush.

Many movie fans that read about the movie, The Grudge online are of the opinion Odunlade Adekola should have goose bumps as he acts on the same set with RMD and also considering the fact that this is only the second English movie he would be starring in.

separate marriages and a lonely widow intersect as they struggle to deal
with a grudge that has festered for so long.

Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture Photo: Femi Ipaye/PM News The Federal Government has described as sadly out of tune with reality the published letter from US Congressman Tom Marino to Secretary of State John Kerry, asking the US to withhold security assistance to Nigeria on the strength of some imaginary infraction by the Buhari Administration. In a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said Congressman Marino was poorly informed about the issues he commented on, wondering why he did not take the pains to get first hand information from the US Embassy in Nigeria or any other credible source before engaging in what is nothing but a ‘propaganda of his own imagination’. The Minister said by asking the US to refrain from selling warplanes and other military equipment to Nigeria based on a faulty premise, the Congressman has demonstrated a poor understanding of global security issues. ”Insecurity anywhere i
