“God has been faithful to me all the time. It is good to have confidence in God and your team. I have a very cordial relationship with players.
“I am the type who always wants my players to believe me and in what I believe,’’ he said.

Speaking on the possibility of his leaving the club for another clubs, Ogunbote said the season was not yet over and he was still contracted to 3SC.

The coach however said the first hurdle for him and the club had been crossed, and the next hurdle was to fortify the team to win laurels.

He said that many people did not believe that the team could escape relegation by the end of the 2015/2016 NPFL season.

Yomi Oke, the Oyo State Commissioner for Youths and Sports, said the good old days have now come for 3SC.

“Government will give its best to returning the club to its victorious days,’’ he said.

Oke said the state government would soon unveil its blueprint on sports development, which he said was aimed at discovering talents from the grassroots.

He commended the 3SC fans, sponsors and other stakeholders for their unflinching support for the club, assuring them of better days ahead.

The state government in conjunction with Hams Universal Consulting (HUC) had at the match venue held a programme tagged “Giving Back Sports Series’’.

Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture Photo: Femi Ipaye/PM News The Federal Government has described as sadly out of tune with reality the published letter from US Congressman Tom Marino to Secretary of State John Kerry, asking the US to withhold security assistance to Nigeria on the strength of some imaginary infraction by the Buhari Administration. In a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said Congressman Marino was poorly informed about the issues he commented on, wondering why he did not take the pains to get first hand information from the US Embassy in Nigeria or any other credible source before engaging in what is nothing but a ‘propaganda of his own imagination’. The Minister said by asking the US to refrain from selling warplanes and other military equipment to Nigeria based on a faulty premise, the Congressman has demonstrated a poor understanding of global security issues. ”Insecurity anywhere i
