Alhaji Faruk Umar, the Public Relations Officer in the Sokoto State Muslim Welfare Agency, made this known in Sokoto on Saturday.
He said that the pilgrims were transported in two flights by Max Airline.
Umar commended the pilgrims for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner during the screening carried out by Customs and Immigration officials.
The pilgrims from the state were the first to be airlifted in the country to Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj on Aug. 8.
