Founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet T.B. Joshua has revealed that the secret behind his powers is none other than God. He stressed that he could not have succeeded in using demonic powers to deceive foreigners flocking into his church.

In an interview with TheNEWS, the prophet stressed that his mission would not be thriving if it wasn’t from God, speaking he said, “Right now I am talking to you, there are over 400 foreigners from 10 different countries here. Are these people being deceived, destroyed or killed (as my detractors alleged)? If I have been using occultic power, the congregation here will not increase.

If my mission here is not of God, it won’t stand just as Gamaliel said. When people have their problems solved or they have salvation, they tell others”.

In his reaction to critics who insist he uses demonic or occult power, Joshua shared a passage from the Act of Apostles which reads thus: “The early Christian preachers were being disturbed by the Pharisees, Sadducees and the High Priests in the Synagogue and the Temple in Jerusalem.”

The head pastor of the SCOAN while giving an insight into the circumstances that surrounded his birth stated that he was in his mother’s womb for fourteen months before coming into the world and that he also attended 10 different secondary schools under a year.

Joshua further disclosed that over 100 years ago, a certain farmer, hunter and warrior named Balogun Okoorun predicted that a young man shall emerge from his clan, who would be powerful, famous and would have a multitude of followers.

According to him, “Over 100 years back, there was one Balogun Okoorun, a farmer, hunter and warrior who was from Oosin Quarters of Agbaluku, at Arigidi Akoko. The man had prophetic powers.

“He predicted that a section of my town would move from their original place to Imo in the north of Arigidi. That was fulfilled in 1952.

“The second prophecy was about my humble self. He said that a young man would emerge from Oosin quarters, who would be powerful, famous and would have a multitude of followers, as well as that his life and works would explain that the human race is one, notwithstanding different religions, culture and skin pigmentation.”

He, however, declined to shed light on it, saying: “I don’t want to go into that. But I thank God”. Responding to allegations that he was born a Muslim, he insisted: “I was born a Christian, my parents were Christians.

The only connection I had with Muslims was that I attended Ansar-Ud-Deen school, Ikare. I attended 10 different secondary schools under one year.” On allegations that a certain Kaduna Mallam or palmist thought him magic, the prophet asked: “If somebody taught you how to do something, will you be greater than he is? Tell me, somebody taught you how to write, can you beat that teacher? Can you beat that teacher? Can you beat your editor-in-chief in writing? Where then is the Mallam?”

About a week ago, top Ghanaian boxer, Ayitey Powers, has described T. B. Joshua as the “second Jesus Christ”. In a new video uploaded on Facebook, Ayitey Powers lambasted one Pastor Owusu Bempah who had allegedly claimed that Prophet T.B Joshua is a false prophet.

FG berates US congressman over comment

Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture Photo: Femi Ipaye/PM News The Federal Government has described as sadly out of tune with reality the published letter from US Congressman Tom Marino to Secretary of State John Kerry, asking the US to withhold security assistance to Nigeria on the strength of some imaginary infraction by the Buhari Administration. In a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said Congressman Marino was poorly informed about the issues he commented on, wondering why he did not take the pains to get first hand information from the US Embassy in Nigeria or any other credible source before engaging in what is nothing but a ‘propaganda of his own imagination’. The Minister said by asking the US to refrain from selling warplanes and other military equipment to Nigeria based on a faulty premise, the Congressman has demonstrated a poor understanding of global security issues. ”Insecurity anywhere i

Aubameyang leads Gabon to Nations Cup

The team captain and Borussia Dortmund star will lead the home players out for the opening game of the tournament against debutants Guinea-Bissau on 14 January in Libreville. Gabon have also named Sunderland midfielder Didier Ndong despite the player being left out of November’s World Cup qualifier in Mali. But a remorseful Ndong, who held clear-the-air talks with Fegafoot has been included in a 23-man Panthers squad. Other names to make the final party include Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina, Bruno Ecuélé Manga of Cardiff City and China-based striker Malick Evouna.
