The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry Worldwide, Pastor Williams F. Kumuyi, has said the emergence of Alhaji Yahaya Bello as Kogi governor was orchestrated by God for a purpose.

Kumuyi, who said this on Monday evening when he was received at the Government House Lokoja by tge Governor, urged the people of the state to pray and rally support for the governor to enable him fulfill the plans of God for the state.

Amongst those that received Pastor Kumuyi include the state’s Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Edward Onoja, Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Ayoade Folashade Arike, commissioners and other top government functionaries.

The man of God hinted the governor that he was in the state with his delegation for a one day crusade with the theme: “Night of Miracle Explosion,” which he said would bring down the mighty power of God upon the people.

“I believe that our coming here will be a great blessing for this state. We rejoice with our Executive Governor and how God himself providentially brought him into power at such a time, as he is in Kogi state for a purpose and that purpose that The Lord has in mind, He will fulfill it.

“I pray that his time will witness peace, progress and prosperity for Kogi State. All the challenges we all seem to have, as we rally round him with supports and prayers, I believe that by the time he finishes his term or terms, we will be able to look back and thank God that he was the one at the helms of affairs of this,” Kumuyi said.

The Pastor urged Bello and his cabinet to be transparent and have the fear of God in conducting the affairs of the state.

Speaking at the reception, Governor Bello described the visit of Pastor Kumuyi to Kogi as wonderful and a dream come true for himself and people of the state.

“I said this because, this is a holy month and receiving a holy man of God from the Christian faith in this holy month of Ramadan, is indeed a wonderful thing. This a man of God I have always dreamt in my life to meet. When I was in the primary school, I read one of his books that he wrote, ‘Examine Yourself.’ From that moment, I have always examined myself in everything I do,” he said.

He expressed the confidence that the visit of the man of God and his prayers for the state would bring down blessings and address the challenges bedeviling the state.

Bello called on those in his cabinet, workers and the entire citizens of the state to always examine themselves in whatever they do to ensure the state achieves the needed development and progress.
