‘Stop using my name for publicity’- Kate Henshaw tells Akpororo

One of Nollywood’s most popular and talented actresses, Kate Henshaw and popular Nigerian Comedian, Akpororo got into some sort of mix up on social media yesterday.

Akpororo who is scheduled to hold his comedy show, ‘Apkororo vs Akpororo’ show on the July 8th and the promotional materials for the event have been announcing Kate as the host for the event.

The actress cum politician who is very angry with the organisers for advertising her without her consent took to her Instagram page through her management to issue a public disclaimer saying she’s not been contacted in any way or manner for the said event.

She wrote:

“The sooner people recognise this..the better it will be for all.. Do not take my smile and simplicity for stupidity! Notice of 48hrs is hereby given to the organisers to remove my name and image from all publicity associated with this event. Thank you.”

Once said, comedian Akpororo also posted an apology to the actress via his Instagram page saying: “Good evening ma @k8henshaw Before anything else just want to say I’m very sorry ma for the misunderstanding, so sorry for not following up after our last conversation about my show (Akpororo vs Akpororo which is taking place at eko hotel and suites July 8th) when you were out of the country the other day, I will never disrespect you or even take you for granted for any reason, I respect you so much ma, please pardon me ma. Thanks and GOD bless you ma.”

He has since removed her name and image from all publicity materials for the said event.

Pope not involved in Colombian peace deal- Vatican

Pope Francis Pope Francis has turned down a request to play a role in the peace deal between the Colombian government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) rebel group. The Vatican in a statement issued on Wednesday in in Vatican City said that an invitation was sent to his Holiness in early August to appoint a representative to participate in the committee that selected the judges for the talks.
