Wike compensates Joseph Yobo with senior special assistant on sports devt

Governor Nyesome Wike of Rivers State has finally compensated former Super Eagles Captain, Joseph Yobo, with a political appointment as Senior Special Assistant on Sports Development.

Yobo, it would be recalled, was always following the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign train of former President Goodluck Jonathan to canvass for votes for Jonathan during the 2015 election.

Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu also confirmed the appointment of Chibuzor Aholu as Senior Special Assistant to the governor on financial matters.

Nwakaudu said the appointments take immediate effect.

Fire at the University of Jos Library University of Jos is to convene an emergency senate meeting on Monday to review the level of damage done to the institution by the Saturday night inferno.
