The Rivers State Police Command on Tuesday said that it has commenced the investigation into the killing of two security guards at the State High Court premises.
DSP Ahmad Muhammad, the Police Public Relations Officer in the command, who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Port Harcourt, confirmed that the guards were killed on Monday night by assailants.
Speaking, he said, “When we got the information, our men stormed the scene and discovered that the assailants had fled. But from our initial analysis, it appeared the security men were sleeping when they were attacked. From all indications, the assailants used hard objects to hit them on the head.”
